Wishful Wednesdays: Romance...



I was watching “A walk to Remember” yesterday when  I was at work (it’s not the first time I’ve seen it) It’s one of my favorite romance films and what I really like about it is the innocence of it all Landon’s true and genuine feelings for Jaime, he’d do anything for her to be comfortable and safe. That’s true romance but after the movie is over I come back to reality…..

and remember it was just a movie, Now I don't want people to think I'm despreat because I don't have a boyfriend or significant other I'm happy they way things are now but I will admit sometimes the lonliness gets to you and wish you could be 6 years old again and just think you don't have to worry about these things and just being content with dreaming of being a Disney Princess. However now that I think of it when I watch disney movies about how the prince kisses his princess or when she is saved from the evil wicked witch I think.....where has the romance gone?

Now Romance is wondering if the oppisite sex is going to get a lucky lay or not..... It makes me wonder if the kind of romance you see in disney and romance movies even existe anymore. I've only been in love once and I thought it would be how it is in the movies but turns out the guy was a total douchebag and ended up cheating on me, but it doesn't make me think all men are the same I strongly beleive there still some good guys out there....when I watch "A walk to Remember" I say " I want to have a relationship like Landon and Jamie" ....

Guilty Pleasure Saturdays: Cupcakes & Shopping!

soooo today I decided that I was going to call in and enjoy a normal Saturday off....I think I deserved it it's been a year that I have been working every weekend so yeah I decided to go to the mall with my friend Roxy hit up MAC and some other stores btw it's been a while since I've been to the mall and Im happy to say I had a blast and bought a lot of cute things which sometimes I beat myself up when I buy things but this time it didn't feel like that.

After a awesome walk at the mall me and my brother decided to hit up one of Austin's sweetest places...HEY CUPCAKE! we had never been there so we thought why not.... and it was awesome I'll tell you it was the most awesome-est! hahaha cupcakes are my weakness

Fashion Friday

Ever since this extreme heat has started I have been thinking in nothing but the fall weather and you know very well why…….hoodies!!!!!!! no but aside from that I been wanting to wear comfortable clothes and fall-ish colors like an olive green, autumn leaf colors and dark/ night purples and lavender.

But allas we still have like a month and half before  the fall but a girl can dream.

however I will say that i totally loved the outfit I put together today

So I have decided to change “Thrift goodies” to “Music Thursdays” just cause there are sometimes when I go to Thrift stores I don’t always buy something ( To be honest….I do that everywhere haha) so I thought I’d just write about the artist and songs I like this week. It’s  perfect just cause sometimes we all get bored of the music we have on our play lists and want to discover new music. I pretty much listen to my play list and Pandora a lot especially on Adele’s station (pretty good stuff) so threw out this week I

Wishful Wednesdays

Lately I’ve been day dreaming about my upcoming trip to Europe on how much fun I’m going to have and I can’t wait to see the sights and the museums etc. but aside of that me and my sister were talking and watching “Jersey Shore” LOL I know how sad is that is theres nothing better that watching a train wreck

But then.......

conversation turned into a school conversation and I was realizing how much fun it would be to go study Abroad! I mean think about it living in a different country, meeting new people it’s practically a fresh start! But the only down fall of that is that I would miss my family and best friends like crazy!

I know that’s why there’s skype but come on….you wanna hug and be around them no via computer. But like I said it’s just a thought we’ll see what happens in the future.

Case of the Mondays & first day of school!

ARRRRGGGGGHHHH! it's the most boring and dullest day of the year it's the day after Sunday and on day before hump day..... it's the day we dread the most and with that being said it's the first day of school! well there's some states that probably started a week or so earlier but here in Texas school started today and I want to say to all the parents and all the kids that I hope you had a great first day of school! and I'm gonna take this time to make a shout out to my lovely ladies Arci, Ginnie, Carmen & Ana! I hope your 1st day of being Seniors went well =)

 

I think when our day is finally over on a Monday we usually head straight to Happy hour, it feels good to unwind but at the same time it's always good to go out for a job it really helps to relax. if your not having a good day I'm sorry I have something that can make you laugh and startle you a bit I found it last week and figured I can use it for today check it out:

DIY Sunday: Cocktail rings

Big and bold is in and people are loving everywhere I turn I seem to see bigger and greater things in the accessory  world and rings are one of them.

and girls love them, I know for a fact I love them it's cute and fashionable and colorful i mean what did you expect?  but with this economy in America it makes it incredibly impossible to spend 7 to 8 dollars on a huge rings.......and yet since were only human we seen unable to resist the temptation and make the purchase =] so why spend almost $10 rings when you could make them yourself and use that money for gas or something.

these are the item's you'll be using:

• Hair ties (no metal parts)
• clip on ear rings (you can purchase these at any thrift store or ask your mom if she has any left over from the 80's)
• Hot glue gun

get the hair ties and loop it around your finger like a ring, once you've done that then take them off but keep them in "ring" tact

Grab the glue gun and have one of the clip on's open, place a drop of glue in the middle of the clip and place the hair tie on it, then place another drop of glue on the hair tie and another drop at the clasp of the clip so it can remain closed. then let it dry for about a minute or two and wha-la! you got yourself a cocktail ring and all under the price of $2! or free if you found some :) i hope you all enjoy 

Guilty Pleasure Saturday: Cream Soda

Have you ever had a strong guilty pleasure where you know you can’t resist no matter how much you try you always tend fall but you can’t help it =] I know I’m not suppose to be having soda’s and I have been doing great so far but tonight, I had to get break this rule because people are just blah! (Talking about work)  I had gotten so heated which I have never ever gotten heated after a phone call. I don’t know what happened but the call got to me =/ go figure so with my little rule being broken I ended up getting a Jones cream soda and let me tell you…….IT WAS AMAZING!!!! It totally relaxed me and calmed me down which is what I needed. Have you ever had a Jones soda before???......no?! let me tell you it is bomb! If you never had one do me a favor and go and get one they have soooo many flavors and many great ones my personal favorites are of course “cream soda” and “green apple”

Fashion Friday!

Oh Friday! It’s the best day of the week other than Saturday wooo! Sadly enough for me it’s still my Thursday blah anyways Lately I been obsessed summer and fall attire  I’m just ready to get out of summer it’s too hot for me well pretty much for anyone. Today I felt it sort of an lazy day (and if your wondering I had the lazy song on when I got up lol) I just wanted to be comfortable yet still look fashionable I sort of created this end of summer outfit.

Thrift goodies!!

I love love love thrift store shopping! there is a lot cute things there that are almost brand spanking new and somethings are perfect for those DIY projects. Today I had the best day because I went shopping with my mom and grandma but only ended going to 2 thrift stores because it was scorching hot and the sun was too damn strong blah! sometimes i think the sun is taunting us =/

anywho so on my Thrift store adventure I only got 3 items which happen to be a pair of arizona sneakers with peak a boo slip and two pair of clip on earings i know some of you are asking "but why clip on earings???" and i'll I can say is just wait until Sunday and you'll see why =]

so to wrap this up here is what I got =]

Must have items at your office space!

So I was sitting at my desk today just bored and was looking all over for a book and could not for the life of me find one i was like "fine whatever" I was doodling instead then I accidently forgot to wrap a napkin around my cup so it wont make my desk all wet and sure enough water was puddled underneath it then i realized enough is enough so I decided to have these must items at my desk. if you have a office,cube or office at home I strongly recommend to have these items at your desk!

1. Coaster

Trust me you are going to need this if you have a cup full of ice getting to sweat the crap out of itself! you have been warn!

2. Some sort of reading material

if you work at a call center or office trust me, books will be your bestfriend

3. sticky notes!

it comes handy if you have a short extension spand like i do :P

4. disinfectante wipes

if you share desks with people and they are sick or YOUR sick....you might want to have these handy.

Perfect to have handy at your desk for those days when you forget to bring the ones from home

Wishful Wednesdays: Craft room

hooray today is Wednesday and we're half way threw the week! for most people it's another day closer to the weekend, however in my case it's still my Tuesday =/ blaaahhh. so I've noticed that I'm very wishful on wednesdays and that reason being is well it's a day before payday :P

everyday that goes by I wish I could have my own craft room where I can do my crafty stuff and make my jewelry but not only that I want that studio because I believe it can help me escape reality when I don't want it anywhere near me. I dream of my craft room to look a little something like this

How to: do Olivia Wilde's Nylon make up

When I received this month's Nylon with Olivia Wilde as the cover I thought to myself....."wow! this chick is everywhere! but why she shouldn't she be? she's gorgeous!" so I got inspired to do a tutorial of her make up eye shadow mostly! 

The color she was using is so prefect for the night life but as well if your way out there like I am I'd rock this look in the day time as well :)

I have so many Ideas!!!!

So I was looking on my recently new favorite website IMGfave.com and I found soooo many cool ideas what I would like for my house to look like and I'm serious I have so many good ideas I want to flaunt in my house and room I just don't know where to start.... well until this week so Ive decide to start with our restroom (the one me my grandmother and my brother use) I was thinking of cleaning it really well remove all the things in there and put that blue tape that you use to put on the edges, cellings or anywhere you don't want paint to splash on. and use a sort of blue/lavender color kinda like this! but on the wall.....not on hair :P

after that let it dry of course then build (or atleast attempt) a open cabnet with 3 shelves one shelf for me my brother and grandmother and paint that white or a cream color and whala! finished. of course this is on the top of my mind so let's see how it turns out first :) I'll keep an update.

July Favorites!

July has come and gone and now it's time to go over my favorite products and items for the month of July!

Book:

"Moloka'i" By: Alan Brennert

I just started reading this book like two weeks ago and so far I am really loving this book it takes place in Hawaii in the late 1800's and it's about this 7 year old girl who has a loving family and dreams about traveling the world like her father does but a rose colored patch makes all those dreams crash and burn and is taken away from her family, sad I know! but so far it's pretty good once I finish reading the book I will make a book review post and video so keep a eye out for that :)

Music:

Selena Gomez & The Scene: "When the sun goes down" album

Okay I don't care what you say about her music being all teeny pop blah blah blah say whatever you want, but Selena Gomez has incredibly awesome music especially this album it's upbeat and very catchy I usually don't buy the whole album off of Itunes but I've always liked her stuff ever since she started and I'm glad I got it cause it's truly a great CD.

Make Up:

Now I didn't have that much make up that was my ultimate favortie for the month of July well atleast for for this month but I do have two Items that I really really love!

Covergirl NatureLuxe gloss balm

#215 Hibiscus

I've always been a big fan of glosses and different shade balms but I could never find the right one for me until I saw this in Nylon's February edition featuring Leighton Meester and I remember seeing that she used this balm for the shoot and I loved how it looked and I remember I said I was going to go get it but of course I forgot and when I was cleaning out my room I found the magazine and sure enough I saw the lip balm again and this time I wrote a sticky to remind me to look for it at ulta, But anywho I love how it feels on my lips it's long lasting and it's very moisturizing and the best thing about it the color lasts for a long time :D

Another one that I liked was the Neutrogena Naturals Lip balm

sure it's like any other lip balm you can get at the store but what makes this awesome (well to me atleast) is that it has a minty sensation and with essential moisture and it makes your likes feel all cool and minty, great for those hot hot days =)

Movies/Tv Shows:

Can't Buy Me Love (1987 version)

 I've always been a fan of 80's romantic comedies especially after I saw Can't buy me love I was totally gushing over the younger nerdy Patrick Dempsey! he was just soooo adorable! but besides mcdreamy the movie was pretty awesome it has it's funny spots and it's romantic ones.

Doctor Who

OH EEMM GEE! I can't not begin to tell you how hooked I am on this show! I'm serious haha it pretty much started when I was on imgfave dot com and I kept seeing tumbler images about this show and I so I started watching clips on youtube and I grew interest sooooo I got on netflix and they have the seasons starting from 2005 and I became hooked! haha it's drama and suspense with a hit of funny best out there I think. so for those who are not familiar with the show it's a british show it's about a alien form as a human known as a time lord and this man named "The Doctor" has this time traveling machine which is called a Tardis and it's a police box....way bigger on the inside anywho this Doctor travels everywhere in all different universe and eras and ya if ya wanna know more about the history of the show than just look it up on google or Wikipedia =]
